BSY invites China party chief to Investors Meet

(expressbuzz.com) Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, who has been on a tour in China for the last few days, has invited Chinese Communist Party(CCP) secretary of Shanghai, Yu Zhengsheng, who is also the second highest authority in the party, to participate in the Global Investors Meet to be held at Bangalore in January next year.

According to a press release the Chief Minister has met the Chinese leader in Shanghai on Saturday. Claiming that the Meet would attract investors across the world, Yeddyurappa suggested Yu Zhengsheng to bring companies from China to the Meet. In response to the invitation extended by the Chinese leader to participate in the World Expo 2010 to be held in Shanghai next year Yeddyurappa said he or his representative would surely participate in the Expo.

He also hoped that more tourists from China would visit Karnataka as there are many places of attraction in the state, with its rich historic and cultural heritage.

The new Government in Karnataka has been making all efforts to improve infrastructure not only in Bangalore but also across the state.

State Government is ready to extend any support and help to the Chinese companies if they come forward to invest anywhere in the state, he assured.

Equating Shanghai and Bangalore, Yeddyurappa said that the two cities had many things in common.
