General Motors announced today that it will unveil a new global urban mobility concept vehicle called EN-V on March 24 in Shanghai.
Together with its strategic partner in China, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. Group (SAIC), GM will showcase the new EN-V concept at the SAIC-GM Pavilion during World Expo 2010 Shanghai from May 1 through October 31.
As the joint global automobile partner of Expo 2010, GM and SAIC are introducing their vision for urban transportation in 2030. EN-V (Electric Networked-Vehicle) represents the reinvention of the automobile and is part of the technology solution to make such a vision a reality.
Adopting a new automobile DNA that combines electrification and connectivity, EN-V promises to address the challenges associated with global urbanization and offer a future that is free from petroleum and emissions and free from accidents and congestion while making driving more fun and fashionable than ever before.
