American media team hail UAE growth

Dennis Wholey, the US veteran television talk show and host of 'This Is America Programme', a popular TV programme in US, commended hospitality exhibited by the UAE people and progress being witnessed by the Gulf Nation, the UAE.
He hoped each American could visit this amazing part of the world, adding that he would telecast the real image of the UAE to viewers in 160 countries.
The American media team, who visited the UAE from March 19-24, were invited by National Media Council (NMC) within the framework of NMC programme of inviting journalists and representatives of media to reflect prosperity being witnessed by the UAE.
The team filmed many sites in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and held interviews with a number of ministers and officials in sectors of education, health, tourism, media, woman affairs and others. The documentary about the UAE will be telecast in 12 episodes in the programme "This is America visits Arab world".
Another media team, Shanghai Media Group, the second largest media group in China, has visited the UAE upon the invitation from NMC from March 20-27 to film a number of landmarks in the emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai and conduct interviews with officials to produce a ducumentary film about the UAE. The documentary will be telecase during Shanghai Expo 2010.
This is America is a weekly public affairs television series hosted by Dennis Wholey. It is distributed throughout the United States, Canada, and the world via PBS stations, the AmericanLife TV Network, and Voice of America Television.
