The City of Houston will present

On April 8, Consul General Gao Yanping met with Ms. Helen Chang, Executive Assistant to Mayor of the City of Houston in the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Houston. Consul Wang Peijun and Li Zhuang were present.

Ms. Helen Chang said, Mayor Annise Parker will lead a delegation consisting of City Government officials, dignitaries and business leaders to visit China from July 30 to August 7 and attend the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The City of Houston will present "A Houston Day" at the American Pavilion in the Shanghai World Expo Garden on August 2. Mayor Parker attaches great importance to developing friendly relations of cooperation with China.
The upcoming visit to China will bring new development opportunities for Houston and further promote exchanges and cooperation between Houston and China.
Consul General Gao welcomed Mayor Parker to lead the delegation to visit China and attend the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. She said, substantial cooperation between China and Houston in all areas has been increased and brought tangible benefits to the peoples.
She hoped Houston make the best use of the Shanghai World Expo to publicize Houston's rich resources, great business opportunities, high-level technology and diversified culture. Consul General Gao wished Mayor Parker's visit to China successful and fruitful.
