HiQ becomes official supplier for Sweden’s participation in Expo 2010

(cisionwire.com) HiQ has been appointed as an official supplier for Sweden’s participation in World Expo 2010 Shanghai China. This assignment means that HiQ will initially be responsible for a preliminary study aimed at determining the technical infrastructure needs for the Swedish exhibition.

It is only natural for us to continue to present our country in this way, and in today’s technology-intensive world, the technical infrastructure will be key to achieving this,” says Jonas Linder, Project Manager for Sweden’s participation in World Expo 2010 Shanghai.

HiQ’s assignment is to conduct a review of the overall IT and communication needs for the Swedish pavilion at World Expo 2010. This includes conducting a needs analysis of everything from IT support to TV/film production, broadcasting and video etc.

World Expo 2010 is a huge event that will continue for six months and serve as an important meeting place for many big Swedish export companies with Chinese partners. World Expo 2010 will take place from 1 May to 31 October 2010. More than 200 participating countries and organisations will take part and the organisers expect Expo 2010 to attract 70 million visitors. The aim of Sweden’s participation is to reinforce an all-round and positive image of Sweden abroad, to promote the competiveness and creativity of Swedish business and industry and to make Sweden even more attractive for tourism and investment as well as for research and cultural exchange.
