Shanghai and China UnionPay jointly issue tourism cards

To better serve the World Expo 2010 Shanghai, the Shanghai Tourism Bureau and China UnionPay's 26 card issuers within and outside China jointly issued UnionPay–standard Shanghai tourism cards to domestic and foreign citizens on August 10 in Shanghai.
Shanghai tourism cards will mainly be issued to domestic and foreign tourists intending to travel within Shanghai as well as Shanghai's local residents. Only credit cards will be issued in China; prepaid cards, debit cards and credit cards will be issued outside China.
Cardholders can not only pay by card and withdraw money at service points under the coverage of China UnionPay card network within and outside China, they can also enjoy special and preferential services comprising dining, accommodation, transportation, traveling, shopping and entertainment in Shanghai. The cards come with a safe payment and secure tourism guarantee.
