Dominican Republic to take part in Shanghai’s World Fair

Dominican Republic will have a pavilion in Shanghai 2010 World’s Fair, to be staged with the motto " Better City, Better Life," from May 1 to 31 October next year.
Dominican Republic Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD) executive director Eddy Martinez made the announcement during the General Commissioner’s 4th Expo Organizational Meeting.
“Dominican Republic will take advantage of this important scene to promote our main sectors, including tourism, the goods and services we produce, including our beverages, manufactured items and crafts, and we’ll also bring a significant national example to promote our architectonic and cultural identity, to bolster our country’s image in the world as a place with an intelligent and tropical life style."
The official said oresident Leonel Fernandez has stated his desire, “to remarkably expand the trade and economic relations with China, for which this event offers us a unique opportunity to better know the market in this part of the world, which undoubtedly one of the fastest growing at the world level."
