Party chief invites former Namibian President to Expo

(english.eastday.com) Shanghai Party Secretary Yu Zhengsheng yesterday invited former Namibian President Sam Nujoma to the Expo 2010 site during a meeting with Nujoma in Shanghai.
Yu noted that the city has witnessed great changes since the founding of the People's Republic of China 60 years ago.
He told the former Namibian President that Shanghai is in full steam in its preparation of next year's Expo, and will try its best to make the event a venue for participants to learn from each other and share experiences.
Construction on the 26,000-square-meter Joint-Africa Pavilion has been completed and interior decoration and exhibition arrangement will soon start, Yu said.
He believed the exhibition will be a great success, welcoming friends from all over the world to visit the Expo.
Nujoma said Namibia has deep friendship with Shanghai. He hoped the two sides would beef up cooperation in areas such as resources exploration and agricultural products trade. He welcomed Shanghai entrepreneurs to make investment in Namibia.
