Tibetan Activity Week set to open for World Expo

A Tibetan Activity Week is set to be staged from September 1 to 5 in the World Expo Shanghai 2010, which is to be held in Shanghai running from May 1 to Oct. 31.
300 Tibetan artists will perform 200 Tibetan song and dance in the Tibetan Activity Week. Also shown in the activity are a small part of Tibetan intangible cultural heritages.
Heavenly Tibet, the theme of the Tibet Pavilion for the Shanghai World Expo, is expected to highlight the features of the snowy Tibetan Plateau and reflect Tibet's new look.
With more than 230 countries and international organizations have promised to attend, and the World Expo Shanghai 2010 is themed "Better City, Better Life".
