Your photograph could be on display at the Expo!

In cooperation with Greater Helsinki Promotion, Kemira, and Nokia, Finpro is holding a photo contest from October 13 through November 11, 2009. This contest is open to all Finnish citizens. The theme of the Shanghai Expo 2010 photo contest is “Better City, Better Life,” and its aim is to present a genuine image of life in today’s Finland. What is life like for an urban person in a city?
Or what is an ecological city like? What is the significance of clean water to a city? Or of lifelong studying and learning? And what about Finnish perseverance (sisu), industriousness, and madness?
The best photos will be included in an interactive multimedia work of art at the Shanghai World Expo. The photographs chosen will be displayed in the Finnish Pavilion, “Kirnu,” in various ways, in addition to which they will be published on the Web site when the exhibition opens in May 2010.
Various Nokia product prizes will be given away in an associated raffle, with all entrants in the photo contest participating. The photos selected for the exhibition will be entered in a drawing for the photo contest’s top prize, a trip to Shanghai for two people.
