NMC, TDIC sign agreement to repatriate UAE Pavilion

National Media Council (NMC) and Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) signed today agreement, whereby the UAE pavilion at Shanghai Expo 2010, will be repatriated home at the end of the event.
Labour Minister and NMC Chairman HE Saqr Ghobash, said the UAE pavilion is a distinguished project, which was set up to reflect the efforts being exerted by the UAE to promote sustainable development in different sectors, adding that the pavilion was designed in a way that it could be easily dissembled, transported and assembled to ensure long life and save efforts and money. He added that the UAE pavilion was designed in a unique shape of sand dune.
Expressing pleasure about the agreement, Ghobash noted that the participation of the UAE in the world event comes in line with the instructions of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The deal was signed on behalf of NMC by Salem Saeed Al A'meri, Deputy Director General of NMC, General Commissioner of the UAE Pavilion, while on behalf of the company by Ahmed Hussein, Chief Executive of the TDIC.
