Tak Seng On pawnshop receives MOP30 million

(macaudailytimes.com.mo) Pico International (Macau) company has been awarded a MOP30 million interior concept design contract for the Tak Seng On pawnshop, in the Macau Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA) Exhibition Pavilion at the World Exposition 2010 Shanghai.

According to Monday’s Official Gazette, Pico International will receive MOP30 million, divided into two payments, of MOP21 million this year and MOP9 million next year.

After Nam Kwong Exhibitions and Shiror Productions, who were granted with more than MOP67 million for interior services for Macau’s Pavilion in Expo 2010 in Shanghai, Pico International (Macau) was chosen to provide the interior concept for the Tak Seng On pawnshop.

This years’ budget for the Tak Seng On pawnshop will be used in two main areas, with Investments, machinery and equipment receiving the largest amount, which tops MOP13 million, while advertising, which includes foreign markets, will receive a little over MOP7.5 million.

Under the contract, the company will provide interior design service for the Pavilion’s interior concept as well as its content and set up.

The Hong Kong stock exchange listed company, Pico Far East Holdings Limited, is a marketing company who has been involved in building 20 world expo pavilions over the last 22 years, and was recently chosen to perform a design and execution contract for the Hong Kong Urban Best Practices Area exhibition pavilion at the Shanghai Expo.

In addition, they were appointed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to event manage the ceremony to kick off construction for the UAE pavilion in World Expo 2010.

They were also appointed as the Exhibition Manager of the 15-hectare Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA) Pavilion Sector by the World Expo 2010, responsible for overall exhibition planning, and management.
