Finnish World Expo Representatives Choose K + N

Finland – Finpro, the former Finnish Foreign Trade Association, has selected Kuehne + Nagel to handle the organisation's logistical requirements for their exhibition area at next years World Expo in Shanghai.
The Finnish pavilion at the Expo, “Kirnu”, has been designed by some of the country’s young entrepreneurs to highlight Finnish state-of-the-art concepts and shall be the largest the nation has fielded at the event.
Taking place between May 1 and October 31, World Expo 2010 is expected to be the biggest in the history of world expositions covering over 500 hectares in a central area in Shanghai with the aim of attracting 70 million visitors.
Markus Nyman, Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel Finland, said: “Finpro’s decision to appoint Kuehne + Nagel as their official logistics partner was influenced by our strong market position in air- and sea freight, our commitment to the highest standards of service as well as our sustainability credentials, which were particularly attractive to Finpro.”
